A Talk About Toxic Toys with Paul Morse and Sally Edwards
Thursday, November 13th
7:00pm-9:00pm
At The Revolving Museum
This event is free-space is limited so sign up today!
Before you start shopping for the holidays come to The Revolving Museum for an engaging and informative talk about toy products and potential hazards.
Our children and those we know and love face many risks every day. Babies and toddlers are the most vulnerable. We do all we can to protect them from harm and to keep them safe. Ironically, the very toys, teething rings, bottles and soft plastic books we buy to entertain and comfort them may be exposing them to illegally high levels of lead and toxins banned in Europe but perfectly legal in the U.S. Activists, concerned parents and public health practitioners are working to make children safer and to better protect them from harm.
Presenters Sally Edwards is a Research Associate at the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production and Paul Morse is the Project Director/Co-Principal Investigator for The New England Consortium at UMass Lowell.
By attending this workshop about toxic toys you can make a difference in the lives of children here and throughout the world. That's the good news! Space is limited so sign up now! To reserve a spot please contact Elaina Bates at ebates@revolvingmuseum.org or 978-937-2787.
The Revolving Museum is located at 22 Shattuck St., Lowell, MA 01852.

Lowell and Behold is a community building project designed to celebrate the rich and diverse artistic community of the Mill City. Two UMass Lowell Music Students, Nick Congelosi and Seth Bailin began this project about six months ago. The project is a compilation CD, made to showcase local art and music. All of the artists that have participated in this project have deep roots in Lowell. All of the proceeds from the CD sales and the TWO NIGHT release will go directly to Lowell High Schoolʼs Fine Arts department. This is a great way to get involved and help support local music.
